My friend and I had a great evening at the workshop at Artibus Yard which was hosted by Sam. We were welcomed with a drink and a lovely platter of fresh fruit. Sam explained the process of candle making and how to burn them to get the best out of them. We chose the fragrances for our own candles, added the oil to the melted soy wax and poured it into our jars and two tea-lights. The workshop was a lovely relaxing way to spend a couple of hours and I would most definitely recommend it.

I hadn’t realised this fantastic shop was here until stumbling across the workshops online. I’m so glad I went ahead and booked one. Sam led a super relaxed evening where we learnt about the story behind The Artibus Yard and the art of candle making. The scents curated by Sam are gorgeous and I’m so happy to have one that I made myself! The shop is full of many thoughtfully selected items that are great treats for yourself or perfect for gifts and the workshops are so enjoyable-I will be recommending The Artibus Yard to everyone!

Really enjoyed experience of making own candles

My daughter and I enjoyed the whole experience.
Sam gave us all a warm welcome with a gorgeous display of fresh fruit and a glass of Prosecco while we said hello to other guests.It was very interesting listening to Sam share her knowledge and enthusiasm for something she loves .She took great care in making it really enjoyable and easy for us to choose our preferred scent and making our own candles.
Would recommend this as a lovely way to spend an evening-to anyone who appreciates having candles in the home or as an idea for making a thoughtful gift.

Sam was so lovely and excellent guiding us through her candle making workshop, it was fascinating and so interesting to learn about candles and how she started. There were so many amazing scents that were varied in the process and I loved how we were guided with such ease from pouring the wax to mixing and creating an awesome smelling candle.
I definitely will do this again with a bigger group of friends and we can all have a lovely candle that we made ourselves!
